One of the first cottages on Lake Leelanau, built in 1923 high on a bluff overlooking the lake and catty-corner from the first green of the Leland Country Club by the esteemed legal scholar Rollin Perkins, has been fully restored and is ready for you and yours to enjoy for a full week this summer, either August 13-20 or August 20 -27. The air-conditioned shingled cottage at 932 Juniper Trail offers four bedrooms – one with a King-size bed, one with a Queen, one with a full-size bed, and one with twin beds – and a full bathroom upstairs, a guest bathroom downstairs, and an outdoor shower. The cozy living room, dining area, and kitchen are enhanced by a large stone fireplace, and outside a covered, shaded porch and a sundeck with views to the north end of the lake and south to the Narrows. In an adjacent building are two quiet offices for reading, study, or work, and equipped with internet and printing capacities. At the 120-foot lake front are a dock, kayak, and paddleboard for your use. A welcome dinner prepared by a Cordon Bleu-trained chef will be waiting for you in the kitchen upon your arrival.

To maintain the integrity of the property, not permitted are pets, smoking, overnight docking of boats, or more than eight guests.

South Lake Leelanau Science Tour

Your group of (up to) 6 will enjoy a morning cruise on the water via pontoon boat while examining field efforts to control the invasive aquatic weed Eurasian watermilfoil. A lead biologist will be on board to point out significant features and successes, as well as to answer your questions. A light breakfast and beverages will be provided on shore prior to departure.
